Reference no: J-044-006
A
wishful hope, as the Depression deepened, that the government, workers,
manufacturers, and farmers would all pull in the same direction.
Jack
Gilmour (1892-1951) succeeded David Low as Canterbury Times'
cartoonist in 1911. He subsequently worked for several newspapers
including the Free Lance and Truth before a period on the Evening
Standard in London in the early 1930s.
