Hiscocks' cartoon booklet was a popular success in 1902, as
were others dealing with Joseph Ward and the prohibition controversy.
He cartooned for Christchurch's Weekly Press between 1902-1914 and
the Chronicles of the NZEF during the war. He was appointed cartoonist
of the London Daily News in 1925.
