1964, during 'Confrontation', Indonesia's harassment campaign, New
Zealand and Australia gave limited help to Malaysia.
Sir
Gordon Minhinnick (1902-1992) was New Zealand pre-eminent cartoonist
for half a century. He became the New Zealand Herald's cartoonist
in 1930 and, although he officially retired in 1976, contributed
cartoons to the newspaper for another decade.
