Fletcher's political strip, 'The Politician', has been running in several New Zealand newspapers for a number of years. Interestingly, its local topically has not stopped the strip appearing in several other countries, and translated into other languages.

David Fletcher, born in England, has worked in New Zealand as a freelance cartoonist since 1983. 'The Politician' also appears in European, African and Australian newspaper and on several UK based web sites. His cartoons appear in the Dominion Post, the TV Guide and Truth.
