Mark Winter (Chicane)
Winter has been the editorial cartoonist for the Southland Times for more than 35 years. His pen name, ‘Chicane’, signifies a deceptive bend. The extent to which he is deceptively bendy is a matter for debate. He has twice been named editorial cartoonist of the year at the Qantas Media Awards. His ‘Think In Ink’ film company has won numerous international animation awards. He lives in a converted cinema in Greenwich, London, where he files his daily contribution to the Antipodes and several British publications.
